Another "Jaysus" Republican preaching morals to others while he's dipping his stick in the honey (prostitutes, no less). I remember this guy preaching about the "sanctity of marriage" a few years while he was pushing the constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.

So why hasn't he resigned yet? Being a "John" is a crime...

First, to Jason A.: Not that it should matter, But Vitter WAS an elected official during the time he would have been a client of the D.C. Madam. He served in the House from 1999-2005.

Oddly enough, Vitter won his House seat in a special election to replace Bob Livingston, Gingrich's would-be successor as House Speaker, until HE got outed for an extramarital affair just a few months after he demanded the head (and impeachment) of President Clinton.

All crooks, liars, and hypocrites in power should be removed from power, regardless of party. At least Livingston had the decency to immediately resign, and he wasn't with a hooker. Vitter has been a disingenuous, bible-posturing hypocrite since day one. If he doesn't have the sense to resign now, his constituents should DEMAND it.

i don't care who pronounced it, i think of Burris ought to provide up. So does Pat Quinn, the hot governor in Illinois. So does just about all of us else in that state. His appointment wouldn't have been shown besides, through fact he became appointed by making use of a governor who became impeached and faraway from place of work. Burris needless to say has his own time table, and he's not doing what's powerful for the folk of the state...that's what senators are meant to do.

Like your addition. Good to see a patriot. Don't see any bigotry as you aren't blaming a whole party or religion.

He hasn't resigned yet? You mean he hasn't shown the integrity to resign any more than Jefferson has?

I hesitate to indite them, as they haven't been tried, and I believe in "Innocent until proved guilty". I hope you do as well. That someone might not resign is either a sign they are innocent, or don't have the integrity. We'll have to wait to allow justice to be served. No purpose in joining those who treat them as "guilty until proved innocent".

Did he confess?

Scarborough read an article this a.m. where his wife said that if he ever cheated on her, she would do the Lorraina Bobbit thing. So he doesn't have to resign, he'll just be in office short a "member". LOL

But Kennedy is still cool to be in office even though he got out of a vehicular homicide? He screwed around, let his constituants vote him out if they feel so inclined. Just like daschel after he stalled on one of his staff being murdered even though he was implicated.

Maybe he's hoping to see KKK Byrd come to the South and start lynching. Why do Dems love a KKK enough to make him a US senator?

This happened before he was elected, unlike Clinton who raped & sexually harrassed women as governor or Arkansas and president of the United States.

PS - Gays need treatment to cure their homosexuality, not marriage.
