Motherboard and CPU question. What should I do now?

Hey, I purchased a ABIT KN9 SLI NVIDIA Socket AM2 mobo. It looks great. Within in two days it it me. Why AMD? They may have higher clockspeeds. But intel has more cache and faster front side bus. Intel just seems so much superior. Should sell my mobo and go with intel or experiment with AMD.

if u set that amd up ryt it will smoke an intel imo ...keep it ... i have an OC'd X2 and its faster than any intel ive run into yet ... and i have a core2duo machine also ..

Intel is faster at the moment, however AMD is not terribly far behind. AMDs fastest processor is the 6000+, which is on par in performance with the Core 2 Duo E6600. That would leave the E6700 and the X6800 as having no comparable AMD counterpart. However the X6800 is $1000, the E6700 is about $310, and the E6600 is about $220. The 6000+, which is about on par with the E6600, is only $170 now, making it a very good deal. Since you already have the AMD motherboard, I would just get the 6000+.

Intel has the upper hand at the moment.....but AMD is never far behind. Both are great to work with so I say stick with your AMD and have fun experimenting! I am looking forward to the Intel quadcore's..... http://www.fizzolabz.com

well if you already bought the AMD mobo, why not jus save alot of trouble and time and get the AMD, plus its better then Intell. Intell vs AMD is like in rap Jay z vs Eminem, Jayz is intell and he is good at what he does but mostly people say he is the best is becuase every one is on his nuts. now eminem is AMD, alot of people like him but most wont say he is the best when clearly he would smoke jayz in a battle. hope this weird analogy helps.
