the Vietnam war. He doesn't look like he has a bad back. Couldn't he go to Iraq and drive a truck in a convoy and prove the surge doable?

Guys like him make my Republican party look bad.

I don't know what it is about this year, but some of these guys have clearly been there too long. They've started into name-calling when someone disagrees with them. I'll add Boehner to my list of those who have outstayed their usefulness. He and Lindsay Graham can go home when George Bush leaves. Trent Lott's term isn't up for a couple more years, but let's make sure it's his last term too.

Often true. One of our most vehement (and sometimes seditious, my issue) posters points that out a lot regarding this war.

I support this war for reasons of my own, despite being a democrat. The name-calling is wrong. He has a right to his opinion, and I would feel free to call their behavior "wimpy", but calling them wimps is another thing entirely.

I wish we could give our elected representatives back the right to sue for such slander and libel.

Good to see a fellow patriot.

I do the same thing, even with my own party.

Patriotic Republicans and Democrats should stand together even as we disagree. The parties come second, not first.
