Dad used to go bear hunting in Blind River, Ontario, Canada...tastes alot like very strong beef, rather tough, makes lousy gravy!

I would have to say it probably tastes like, Bear....
Unless it's marinated, covered in steak spice, or just old and rancid!

I think it tastes a little like beef, only milder. It even looked like roast beef. A bit stringy.

I thought it was awful. However, it all depends on how it was prepared. I'm sure that prepared the right way, it would be good. I just never cared to have any again.

Yes and it is delicious. It's better than venison in my opinion. Elk is delicious.
