The problem is you do not have the advantage of prolonged maintenance. Any single application will produce results for a limited time only. May I suggest burning the house down, this will almost certainly solve your problem :)

Your still going to have to either have them bombed the correct way, also with your place or, call in a professional. They also have a commercial chemical to spray around your home, get it at Wal-Mart.
Forget these home remedies and what gramma used, get the right stuff, have a professional do it or, forget it.
Roaches have been around for 50 million years, they're radiation resistible and can carry more diseases to man then any other insect so, fight it the right way.

my mom had roaches,, some years ago,,and we used a product called Roach Proof,, its a white powder and u apply it in a line around the inside perimeter of your home,, if u see a roach do not kill it,,let it step thru the powder and it will take it to the nests,,and it kills them for sure 100%,, it worked for my mom,,and some of her neighbors,, we bought it at a hardware store,,but I bet its on line now,,goodluck,,

go to a farm supply store,they have a chemical there called pounce,it's a powder, put alittle around all four sides of the house,and take a table spoon full and put in the back of cabnet,and behind furture,and in 48hours problem is over forgood

Boric acid will kill them, but make sure she didn't leave out a food or water source.
