That depends on what level you swim.
Highly competitive USA teams swim their older age grups twice a day for 2 to 4 hours at a time or once for up to 5 hours, 6 days a week unless tapering. The younger ones practice once a day for up to 3 hours.
Lesser competitive teams swim once a day for 2 to 3 hours 5 to 6 days a week unless tapering.
How many times a week you practice will depend on your age group as well. 8 and unders usually practice 3 times a week. 9-10s usually practice 4 days a week. 11 to 14s usually practice 5 days a week and over that it's maxxed at 6 days a week.
Some teams have practice attendence requirements for their swimmers and some do not.
The intensity of your workouts will vary with your age, skill level and time committment. WIth those things in mind it'd be much easier to answer your question.
From a fitness persepctive you will benefit from swimming at least 3 times a week for 30 minites at a time. That's base for maintaining weight/health.
