Will the terrorists prevail?

Winning is considered less and less terrorist attacks occurring in the world.
I know we will not fully eradicate the problem, but keeping terrorist attacks at a minimum in this world would be considered a win in my book...

Terrorists will prevail - I'm sorry to say. That is until the end when all factions that rise up against Israel are defeated by Christ and his armies. I believe in the Big Bang - I just believe it happens at the end.

It's sad to see that people answering this question are viewing it on a basis of party lines instead of the United States as a whole. When the United States fights the war on terror, EVERYODY has to give something up, some more, some less.
The war on terror will be won by whoever has the greater willpower and patience to turn their rhetoric into reality.
I want to say the United States will win, but we are a consumer based society where we expect fast results. The war on terror will last years and years and years. Think about how long it took us to break up the Soviet Union and general communism.
The terrorists have an advantage because they don't care what the world thinks of them. They can be as rotten to the other side as possible. However, the United States worries about irrelevant global opinion polls, and does not exert its full power against terrorists and nations that support terrorists.
But so long as we remain united, vigilant, and patient, WE, will defeat terrorism .

Unfortunately, the terrorist will win as long as we keep the reporters embedded in the field units. If our troops weren't being filmed every second so the news people can use it for ratings rather than let the troops do their job, we might have a better chance of winning. The terrorist know how to use the media against us. GET ALL MEDIA OUT OF THE WAR ZONE NOW!

In my opinion there will always be terrorist in the world, being spawned by different nationalities. How does fighting a war in the middle east help prevent terrorism? If it was a true war of terror, Id say it would be a World War.

Good question!
My answer: No one will unless the world stands together against the rise of this fanatic ideology like it did against the Nazi' Hitler.
Not until we declare a war against this Ideology of Sharia Rule all over the globe.
AW are not truley at war. we are not fighting and hitting at destroying this ideology we are fighting people with this world submission and conversion of everyone on this earth to Islam by force.
Leaders of the world be brave call this what this is. This is a war declared by the Islamic Fanatics against the world.
If we do not win by 2025 we all will be facing east and praying 5 times a day.

It's not really a winnable war. How will you know when you've won? It's something that will have to go on and on and on. There will always be bad people out there who want to commit terrorist acts - the best we can hope for is to make it much more difficult to do and get away with so it will happen much less often.

The companies that sell false security to idiots.
The same crowd that is "winning" the war on drugs.
The best way to really combat terrorism is to keep terrorists like Reagan from funding terrorists like Osama.
Reagan said that Osama was a "Freedom Fighter".
Bush says that the terrorist hate us because of our freedom, so he wants to take away our freedom so the terrorists don't hate us any more.
Of course, it's all just populist rhetoric to keep their friends in the military/industrial complex rolling in our tax dollars.

the rich will always prevail when the poor fights,it is fact that when the planes hit the towers,a few days later the stock markety rose high,all during this war on terror the markets have boomed......think about it,as for freedom winning....yes,just look at how alot of the radicals live,look at afgah,even during taliban...all lived in the stone age,islam rules make you live in the stoneage........

I'd suggest that the only people who would win from this 'war' are people in the american oil industry, those in military research corporations, scare mongers, and the terrorists who now have their own enemies doing their work for them.
We'll see in a generation from now...
