Michael Yon is embedded with US troops he is probobly the one source you can count on to have been there and seen the things CNN can only talk about. Also that person who said General Petraeus said the war could not be won militarily is mistaken or a liar

Yeah, the left kind of reminds me of Iraq's propoganda minister when he told Iraqis "Americans were committing suicide at Iraqs borders". But they're telling us "We're loosing, we're loosing"!

I agree our recent "surge" is proving effective. But I think it could be too little too late. Rumsfeld insisted on a smaller force for the invasion, when twice the number was needed. Also, it took years to figure out how to work with the tribal leaders and various groups. But there is evidence al-Qaida is weakening in Iraq. It's hard to tell what the truth is, unless you can see the situation first-hand (which I never have done).

So what happened to the Shiites and the Sunnis?
Are they still there? Did they join with al-qaeda? If so, why?
The surge is not working. There's tons of evidence.

Okay, from your "evidence" one thing is perfectly clear: somebody named Michael Yon thinks that the war in Iraq can be won militarily.

He apparently knows more than all of the generals (including general Petraeus) who have recently stated that a political solution is necessary.

How nice for him, and for your agenda.....

The left denies the facts on Iraq in the same way they claim that a baby is just a blob that the mother may kill if it is an inconvenience.

I'm surprised the left isn't listening to their spokesman Ayman al-Zawahiri. He even acknowledges al-Qaeda is losing in Iraq.

I agree with you - It's time we take action and make an example out of these Iraqi (Islamic) extremists. They've been making threats for years - Just drop the bomb and let it be over with.. That way we can spare our American soldiers lives in the long run. Other than that, the only thing that needs to take place is a change of strategic planning.

I'm a moderate, but the facts regarding the Iraq war tend to have a liberal bias.

The surge won't even be completed until September, there is no way to know yet if it is working or not.
