did anyone besides me notice that these two series are almost exactly the same?

Well Bleach and Buso Renkin have more similarit than Bleach and Death Note which is actually also about Shinigami.
I loved Buso Renkin! It ws so much fun to watch. Haven;t have that much fun since Air Gear.
As for similarity. YES. I saw it. Tokiko is similar to Rukia in personality. The whole going ot his school thing. Having to hide that they are Alchemis Warriors, plus having to accompany Mutou in his defeating of homunculous.
*I'm surprised you and none of the other people didn't mention Full Metal Alchemist, which would be a better parallel to daw seeing as how the enemies are homuncoli.*
I don't think there are many more similarities. Most chars in Buso Renkin do not have a Bleach parallel. At best i would be like this

no, not at all, I think Bleach and Buso Renkin are totally different! Both great series, but besides a few genreral similar aspects, they are different

the genre is the same: Shonen. Basically the formula is: boy founds out he has a power/given a power. He is weak but has an unlimited potential to grow. Strong enemies appear and he beats them and grows stronger. Then stronger enemies keep appearing and he keeps getting stronger.

i don't think that it's exactly the same...it has it's similarities though.
