It's not even that. It's the fact that they think we're all so stupid and don't know what propoganda is.
I hate it when people try to make you think what is white is black.

You think "intent" might play a role here?
When Iraq "invaded" Kuwait, do you think their objective was the initial setting up of an electoral democracy, the building up of their humanitarian infrastructure and the implementation of free and voluntary election?
Nice try - but it'll take more than a war in semantics to convince me that America is the bad guy here.

It's "Liberation" because we're usually the one's helping out everyone else....look at Iraq. Yeah, i know most people think that we are destroying that country to bits and pieces, but you don't hear the good news....kids are back in school, the economy is starting to do well again, people have the freedom of religion, and they have held elections....they're better off now than when Saddam was in power, aren't they? And take a look at WWII...if the US hadn't helped out, the Nazis would probably still be running most of Europe. Other countries "invade" because they're just ticked off at each other... the US "liberates" because we're trying to help other countries out a bit.

Because usually when we go to war its in response to an invasion or agression of another Country. If you want to complain about US "agression" in Iraq, are you also going to make the same complaint about our attacks against Serbia in the 90s?

I remember when we went into Iraq, It was called an Invasion. We invaded the country to Liberate them from an evil Dictator... Now if you are referring to something like when Iraq invaded Kuwait They did it to take control of that country not Liberate them from Dictation. See the Difference, The U.S.A. helps a country regain control through a different form of power. Other countries invade places to take control over with their own form of Power.

Invaders always call themselves liberators. The world's history books have already been updated, with the U.S. as a threat to world peace.
eelfins: Iraq had no military. Even little Kuwait could have defended itself from Iraq after Iraq's military was destroyed in the '90 Gulf War. Only America trembles in fear of Saddam or little sissy Al Qaeda.
wyco and leean: Iraq invaded Kuwait for the oil fields. The U.S. invaded Iraq for the oil fields. No difference.
