Ichiro did. But then, you have to admit, Ichiro sort of stretched the concept of "rookie" with all of his Japan League exploits. I think Tony Oliva did in '65...but that's just from memory.

Tony Oliva won a batting title and American League Rookie of the YearAward in 1964. I'm not sure if there has been any others. Maybe Ichiro if i remember right?

u mean a batting title/ no, but the youngest ballplayer to do that was Al Kaline with the detroit tigers, can you believe he was only 21!!!
