I always find it interesting when we realize who we both know. It happens a lot in a small city. For instance, my common law spouse apparently used to know who my ex husband (now dead) was and he also has a best friend who was my ex's lawyer when he bought a house. Everyone I meet here in this city for the first time somehow knows someone that I've known for years....it's just a matter of time before we discover these connections.

Where there from, what they do for a living, how did they wind up here. Depending if its a romantic meet or not. Are they in a relationship. I try not to be too personal with the questions. Unless I ask...may I ask?

The weather is usally a good icebreaker. Just make alot of small talk about a variety of subjects, from work to sports to music.

I make a point that I am enterested to the person, I lead him to talk wants he wants to talk and I listen. Most guys love to talk about foot ball games and fishings.

I alkways compliment them on their clothes so that I can start questioning where they got their top from. And if it's a guy I find it easier to just avoid them altogether. they dont understand anything
