Gay men, do you still have sexual desires for women every now and then? Do you find women sexually attractive? Ive heard that the vast majority of gay men are actually Bi Sexual and like women too (but like men more), but im not certain if its true. How do you feel?
Just a question from a curious guy who is 100% straight.

The majority of gay men i have met in life have had girlfriends in the past, or have even been married and had kids in the past. And i see so many stories on TV of famous and openly gay men who have been, or are still married to women. Wouldnt such men be defined as Bi-Sexual?
This is the reason for my question. Its not a cheap stab or anything like that.

I don't think that would be a safe comment to make at all. I don't know where you got your facts from, but I'm pretty sure that the majority of gay men are not bi. There is a huge difference between loving women and making love to women. Just because one is gay does not mean to say we have a hatred of women. There are very beautiful women as there are very handsome men, but that does not mean that one has to have sex with them. Do you you truly believe that there is such a thing as 100% straight after you just made a statement about gay guys being bi? What would you say if some guy said there is no such thing as 100% straight, would you defend yourself and say there is?

I think perhaps some gay men are actually bisexual. Masculine culture sort of dictates a more polar definition because if you're not straight you must be gay. However I think this is shifting somwhat.
However having previously had a gf or a wife doesn't make you bisexual. Thats rubbish, it just means you hadn't accepted or realised your sexuality.
So No, most gay men aren't bisexual, because they have sexual relations and love and are attracted to only men

My gay male friends have no desire for a physical relationship with a woman. One of them did try in high school to be "straight" but it was pretty awful for him.
I think that the gay males of my generation or older may have had the taboo aspect drilled into them so they really made an effort to go the straight route. Marriage, kids, house in the suburbs........ but the physical aspect is really tough even if you love the person you are with, because you are not "in love" with them. Relationships on the side are common. And I think it is heart breaking for all involved when it comes out. Better to be who you are meant to be from the start!

Well I think you're question is valid actually...I've turned many a gay man's head and I'm a girl; but I also have a lot of male energy (no I'm not a lesbian)...so I understand why.
And given the other answer I was just working on in conjunction with your question...I'm going to have to say that being "gay" isn't just about sexual orientation.
Some like men, some like girls but go with men, some go both ways...based upon my view (which isn't gospel) it has a lot to do with personality and beliefs.
If I were to have to classify it; I'd almost say it were a religion...in the context of having a set belief system; not as in *GOD*.

First I am a devoted Christian so I can only guess you know where I stand on this subject. Second, haven fallen for a bisexual man who was not honest with me, I can give you my point of view. It is not fair to encourage those feelings from someone who does not know you have an affinity for males. I am angry still at the thought, of his callousness. We could have been friends, but he elicited these confusing feelings. By the time I was definite about his sexuality, I was in deep for him. So when I ended it, it really hurt. I think that was selfish on his part. I think to be intimate with someone, it is important to be honest. This was not the only reason things ended but it definitely played a part on trusting him. But hey I am not talking for some of the freaks out there.

I think you are confused. Gay men may like or platonically "love" women but that does not mean they sexually interact with females. Gay men (not "bi" men) sexually interact with other gay men. Bi men walk both sides of the street.

I would have a very difficult time feeling comfortable being with a woman because I feel they judge men down based on our sexuality. It's that "All you Men are pigs and dogs", and "All Men are scum and slime", etc. that makes me find them less desirable. I mean, how could I feel good about myself sexually being with someone if they viewed or perceived me like this. I would figure, they must not be enjoying this, so why bother. I don't view Women down this same way, but it wouldn't do anything for my ego if they were grossed out by me purely based on my gender.
However, when you are with someone of your own gender, they can't hold that against you if they are the same as you. If I am a dog, then so is he. No superior/inferior complexes.

Most of the bi men I know actually lean more toward relationships with other men. I think they just call themselves bisexual as a form of self denial. Honestly I don't know what it is but I don't know any bi guys who were ever like "Yeah I want to be in a relationship with a girl!"

Not at all, a true gay man is about as attaracted to a female as a straight man is to another guy.
