this stupid router keeps rebooting itself every 30sec (only when i plug in the modem cable)~ which makes my connection reboots too!
i called dlink support.. the jr/sr technician can't do anything at all! (all they said is press the reset button / disconnect the power).... they said will get the product specialist to call me , but it's between 48-72 hrs!! too long..... SAVE ME NOW!

What do you mean by rebooting? Are you loosing a wireless signal every thirty seconds? Are you loosing a internet signal every thirty seconds or does the router turn off every thirty seconds?
If it only happens when you plug in the cable from your broadband modem, what port in the router are you plugging the cable into?
Has then been happening since you first installed the router, or was it working fine and then just started doing this?
We need much more info......

Reset your router like they said. Disconnect your cable modem and router power cable. Turn on modem first, wait for light (around 30 seconds), next plug-in your router and turn on your pc. Reconfigure your router. There's nothing wrong with it, the probelm is probaly with the pc network adapter. Download and install the latest driver for your network adapter and latest firmware for your router.
