That would depend on the type and age/size. Common goldfish sold as feeders are cheap ($0.20 or so). If you want a larger fish, or one of the fancy varieties (orandas, black moors, pearlscales, or others), I'd expect to pay in the neighborhood of $2.50 to $5.00, depending on the variety for a small one, and the price will increase as the fish gets larger.

Call PetSmart and find out. Petco sells large comets (feeders) for 29 cents and smalls for 14 cents. I'm guessing PetSmart would be close.

Fancy goldfish can range from $2.50 to $10.00

If you want a common feeder fish, expect to pay about $0.20. However, I was there last night and got two fancies, one for $13.99, and one for $26.99 (the most expensive in the store) so they have quite a range.

If you're planning to keep the fish as a pet, just keep in mind that goldfish need AT LEAST 10 gallons per fish (they can grow to be 12 inches long).

Hope this helps!

About 10 cents for feeder goldfish.

agree with copperhead except pearscales are about $9-$10, I just was looking at them yesterday. lol

however, be aware that the $0.20 goldfish if given a proper home get to be about 24" and even the fancy goldfish get up to 10". they are not the cute little bowl fish everyone takes them for. in fact they are one of the worst bowl fish.
