it's dangerous if parents are to dumb not to install nanny net and record every keystroke their child does, the one thing that pisses me off more than anything is parents let their kids have computers in their rooms , it needs to be in the open. My neighbor has a 17 yr old daughter and she knows none of her paswords and im like are you stupid?
It is dangerous, anything is dangerous if someone is stupid about it
good question though and remember myspace allows convicted killers from jail access their site as well, saw a report about 6 months ago and thats when I canceled mine

Anytime you post very personal information in a public forum could land you in a heap of trouble, regardless of age.

But I've seen teens post so much private info that I'm sure I could visit them in their hometown if I wanted to. Like pics with license-plates in them, what their friends look like, that they use their real names sometimes, their house in the background, the fact that they go to "the only Taco Bell in Wichita", their fav. bands, where they usually hang out, whatever... It's absolutely alarming! Sometimes I feel I should send them a msg and warn them to take down that stuff for their own sake. I hope their parents are educating them in what is ok to post and what's not! Myspace is fodder for pedophiles!

I don't think it's dangerous if you keep your profile private and don't tell everyone your personal stuff...like location and all that....but if you go and blab your whole flippin life all over myspace then that's not good....

Well if you have all that info left open for the public then yes it's dangerous and stupid. But if you have as little as possible then no I wouldn't think so. It also depends on how trusting the person on there is. You should always be on guard if you don't know someone personally

Yes, I once created a fake profile and told a whole bunch of lies that many people believed, actually it was an experiment for one of my classes to show how gullible people are. What if I was stalker, I could have been talking to someone for 2 years stright so they would let me see their profile and get specific details about them and that wouldn't change that I was stalker. So I deleted my account.

Not if you set your profile private so you can choose who gets to see your profile! And you dont have to put your real name as your profile name! And you get to choose what you put on your profile! Just dont join myspace you complain too much!

No myspace isn't risky counting on what you do on it. you additionally could make your profile deepest and in easy terms communicate on your pals. you choose for who to settle for on your pals record, and who to settle for messages from. yet once you initiate giving your suggestion away or assembly people in person off the internet then it particularly is risky.
