Technically, no you can not have a "period" while pregnant. A period is the sloughing away of the endometrial lining that has built up waiting for a fertilized egg to implant.
However, it is possible to have some spotting/bleeding during a pregnancy. It can range from something small, such as implantation bleeding in beginning, to something serious such as a tear in the placenta, later on.
Early pregnancy symptoms can be very similar to PMS.

Yes, you can still have your period when you are pregnant. I got my period with both of my pregnancies, but only the first month though. After that, I didn't get them anymore. But, there are some other people that I know that had their period all the way through their pregnancy.

Yes, you can be pregnant & still have your period. To be sure, just get an OTC pregnancy test & that w/settle that question for sure. You didn't state if you want to be or not, but I certainly wish you the best w/the outcome. I'm sure everyone else does too! Don't leave it to your imagination, do the test. Just the stress of wondering or worrying could mess up your period,

You can have period like bleeding, but not a real period. A period is the disposal of the unused egg and uterus lining, and neither is unused if you are pregnant. Take a test if ther's even a chance.

Yes, not everyone misses their period. Take a test when your period is over and see what happens. If you are not pregnant, than you should see a doctor immediately just in case.

my cousin claims she had periods her entire pregnancy.
I say she was lying and just didn't want to admit to family that she was pregnant. But she was also a bigger girl so the weight gain wasn't much so there wasn't a huge belly screaming she was pregnant.
My friend however had spotting her entire pregnancy but not enough to pass off as a period.
the first 3 months you can have a period but it will be different than a normal period, so you will know something is not okay.

Some women still do have periods while pregnant. if you suspect that you are pregnant then go to your dr and get a blood test done. The blood test is more reliable then the HPT's. good luck.

Women have gotten their period through their entire pregnancy and spotted at other times too. You should see you OB as soon as possible because this could be a sign of something worse. But 2 of my friends have had this and both have 3 kids. Please call your Dr. tomorrow.
