A friend emailed me this video of a large group Christian teens protesting their suspension for wearing shirts that bashed homosexuals. They were obviously into the bible. There is 1 f*cken phrase in a book that gets the whole world hating us.

I mean seriously what do you think about this

As if high school isn't tough enough. I don't need people wearing shirts damning me to hell while I'm trying to concentrate on classes. There is a lack of sympathy with these children that is rather sad.

It...makes me really mad. And really, rather sad to see people doing this.

EDIT: Watch the second video from the user. "It's homosexuals who are intolerant to our beliefs. The truth is what they are doing is sin..." - Ugh, just, ugh. Makes me wanna do something really gay in front of anyone wearing those shirts. REALLY gay.

I think it's all pretty sad that people can be so hateful, and people just sit by while it happens. But a lot of them actually think what their doing is right! Their obviously misinformed and ignorant...but that's what they've taught to believe. The only solution for ignorance is education...and if all else fails just do your best to ignore them and live as happy a life as possible. That's how I see it.

A similar thing in my community. I thought we had gotten over these things. However, on the GSA Day of Silence, a girl from a neighboring school wore one of these shirts.
Can't get too upset over it, though. They have free speech rights too, no matter how upleasent and inflammatory. the things they have to say are.

What I seriously think about this is shame on the Christians! A gentle man was crucified about two millenia ago for preaching love and toleration for his fellow humans. In his name these self-styled christians preach hate for their fellow humans that are different from them. I personally feel they are very evil people.

Its amazing how he tries to use the bible in hand with the law.....They have nothing really to do with each other his agrument is not valid with anything he said. Its like he is mad becuase everyone is not religious. Its sad to see that he thinks gays are running the country... He also shouldnt be preaching hate or judging people if he is so close to God.

All schools are required to have a some sort of policy when it comes to hate speech (both public and private). So let them protest all they want but they got what they deserved.

It's insane! I was really into my school's GSA and I participated in the Day of Silence. Wouldn't you know it? The morning of the event, a bunch of church members drove down into state just to protest! They tried to creep onto school property with their signs and pamphlets about "ex gays". Luckily, they were taken care of by authorities before anything got out of hand.

Just to set the record straight. Not all Christians are alike. Dont lump us all in with idiots like that.
I dont agree with that kind of thing, and i know the majority of us dont either.
Those people are just part of the radical right and pushing a political agenda more than they are pushing the word of God.

They've got their opinions and free speech, though I have to wonder if that boy knows anything about the Constitution at all, as much as he talks about it.

Sad to see that there are so many closed minded people who would try to suppress the rights of others because they don't agree with them. It's sad that people can justify denying others the right to express their religious beliefs and suppress their right to free speech.

Clearly the students have done nothing wrong, and that the school is attempting to force political indoctrination on these children.
