I just moved into an apartment, and it definitely smells like smoke. I've tried air fresheners, but now it just smells like flowers AND cigarettes. Is there anything that will help me? I hate walking into my apartment and being hit in the face with the smoky smell and I'm paranoid that I'm going out smelling like this, too. Thanks!

Hi! my nephew was good at burning down his public housing apartment when he was little. HE did it 3 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my clothes i let mom borrow included!
Any how the housing authority came in each time and First wash ALL the walls and ceiling with SIMPLE GREEN, then they painted everything with KILZ, it comes in a paint can from any hardware store. Then just pick a color paint you like and no more smoke smell!
Oh Yeah wall to wall carpet....I use doggy deodorizer for all most everything, from my stinky dogs to the occasional time those dopey dogs get SKUNKED! But I mix Arm and Hammer Dog deodorant with water 50/50 and get on my hands and knees and scrub the rug!
Non of this sounds easy I know, but it all works! Wish I could give an easy answer!

You need to clean the walls, this will be hard work. if you are a renter I suggest that you enlist the help of your landlord or to do it your self, depending on the wall, painted, concrete, wall paper or just wood, a bucket of diluted clorox water will wash the smell out of the walls clean the air vents with the same solution, if your neighbors smoke it may be coming through the vents and that why the smell, but you should clean your walls

Repaint the walls putting vanilla extract into the gallon of latex. Also spray the drapes with white vinegar(it absorbs odors)
