I agree with the first answerer, I used to be painfully shy and almost submissive in a way. But a combination of Barbizon (modeling school), friends I made my senior year in high school, and just learning to stand up for yourself (I worked three plus years at Rite Aid with a 45 yr old a*hole/perv boss and deal with rude customers on a daily basis) had helped me grow.

I learned to stand up to the jerks who think it's okay to fling money when your ringing them up and show them that they aren't above you just because of your status or profession. Even now, I'm in college and even though I'm still shy, it's easier for me to talk to classmates I don't know well and work together on a group project/team.

I guess I'm still a nice guy, but I'm assertive and I don't let anybody make or force me to do something I don't want. Sometimes dealing with tough situations and learning from it can help you grow and prepare you for future confrontations and problems in life.

I can go on about what a difference it was for me when I was in middle and high school and now.

Originally This tiger was jolly dynamic and romantic (just like tigger I had a happy bounce) but after a bad marriage and a broken heart I just don't trust my instincts anymore that everything can be alright. I can pretend to be who I was but Inside it's just not the same.

If I could start over again from "85" I would have stayed in college my 1st time in Miami and never came back to jersey.
If I had the proper guidance to hang in there my career life would have been on schedule. The short fairy tale marriage was not worth the pain towards the end of the relationship.

So If I stayed in college the 1st time I tried, I wouldn't have met my Ex-wife and I wouldn't have went to college the 2nd time and met the the one that broke my heart.

So the moral is, Stay in School and protect your dreams don't compromise yourself when you face a challenge! lol
