Well, being unemployed can affect your self esteem and if you are living on unemployment it's not much in some states........Missouri for example is quite "tight " with the money. If you have a family I pretty well imagine it's a real hardship. You have the same amount of people to provide for and a whole lot less money to do it with..........
It could also affect the self esteem of all the members of the family.. kids not having money to go to the show or the mall or whatever kids do.
I can tell you this , I'm retired and I just don't miss work at all.

Well I've found that it really effects the amount of food that goes in my stomach as well as the quality of said food. Lol seriously ramen in between jobs will give you an ulcer. Also I feel useless when I'm not working, I hate it. I'd rather have a job I hate then be doing nothing. I don't know if this was a serious question, but this is an honest answer, so hopefully it helps lol.

When industries become more advanced with technology, machines take over peoples jobs in these normal work forces. Than huge numbers of people are being laid off and are unemployed. They only need a handful of these people to control and work the machines, so it still leaves huge number of people jobless.
People who are unemployed offbalance the economy. The economy suffers, and there are too many people for a handful of jobs to give them. (in industries)

I'm going to be unemployed in two weeks time and I cant wait. I quit my dead end job and the fact of being unemployed appeals more. I recommend to anybody that hates their job, jack it in, your self esteem will go through the roof!!!!!!!

If you haven't saved up enough income, being unemployed will cause you a lot of problems. It can cause you financial worries. It will make you cut down your expenses. It may make your family suffer and cause them undue stress. It may make you feel depressed.
