Anything you can do on a windows-based computer, you can do on a mac. Plus, you don't have to worry about viruses.

Depends...

Macs cost twice as much (if not more), and their parts for customising/modding are even more expensive.

You can also install XP onto a Mac as a dual-boot...that means that you can game on a Mac as if it were a PC.

Now, having said that, I personally would *still* choose a PC, as the parts are less expensive, *much* more readily available, and easier to repair/upgrade/modify. There also have a larger variety of cases and accessories.

Remember, except for about a 3-4 year period in the 80's, Macintosh have NOT licensed their hardware, whereas IBM licensed everything early, and widely. That means that other than IBM units and peripherals, you have hundreds of different combinations of hardware available to you. While few are of as high quality as IBM's stuff itself, but some is almost as good.

In short, you have single source with a limited inventory, or multiple sources with a near unlimited inventory.

Incidentally...while PC does have a viral risk that is several orders of magnitude higher, the Mac viruses out there are near universally fatal, or near so. PC viruses run from inconsequential annoyances to fatal aggravations.

Windows is a lot better than Mac because Mac has too many problems and it's not worth it one bit.

I own an iMac. I have an iPod. I have Windows XP installed through Boot Camp, and I have Windows Vista installed through Parallels. I couldn't be happier with another computer. Everything works great, I don't have nearly as many problems as I did with my PC. And the funny thing is, Windows Vista works best, and looks the prettiest on a Mac.

Windows by far if you know how to use a computer, if you want more capabilites and possibilites with your notebook go with windows without a doubt...Macs are generally for people that don't have much or any experiance with computers, and need something that is easy to use and will guide them everywhere...if you are a serious computer buyer and want to do a lot of stuff with your computer, go with Windows...Bill Gates isn't one of the richest men in the world for no reason.
