I'd say tattoo's simply because they are artistic and can tell a story. I never heard of people getting a piercing as a memorial of someone or of telling about a special event in their life. Plus they are very colorful.

I'd say body piercings. At least you can take those off. You can't just take off a tattoo!

It depends. A dumb tattoo is not cool- it is dumb. Just as there are dumb piercings out there too. Don't get me wrong, I am pierced and tattooed as well, but I have seen some stuff that makes me cringe!

I think neither one is cooler than the other. I have both(2 tats on my back, tragus and upper ear piercing) and I think both are different aesthetically yet still cool. Just be careful of where you get 'em depending on your career path.
