Yes my wireless router has the ports in the back but my Xbox 360 doesnt work too well when its connected to the wireless so everytime I want to play online I have to disconnect my wireless modem and plug it into my cable/dsl modem and I was wondering if I could just make them both work.

I also tried to have my modem connected to the wireless and getting an ethernet cord and connecting it to the back of the wireless (1 of the 4 ports) and connecting it to the back of the cable/dsl router (the part where you would plug the modem into) but it didnt work.

please help

Even wireless routers will have ethernet ports on the back so you can connect your X-Box using rthernet cable.

Here are your connections:
-Cable from wall to your broadband modem
-Ethernet cable from your Broadband Modem to your Wireless Routers WAN (Internet) Port
-Ethernet cable from one of the ethernet ports on the router to your x-box's ethernet port

Thats It.

Now if your modem has a antenna on it then you already have a router built into it and you dont want to use two routers together. If you only have one ethernet port on your modem/router combo unit then you need to purchase a simple 4 port ethernet hub and connect it to the modem/router combo unit and then connect your computer and x-box into one of the free ports on the hub.

Hope that helps.....

well having two router's wich dsl has an internal will cause conflict's also there's the portforwarding that need's set up on both but as i said if you have dsl then have a router you now have 2 router's. i suggest calling your isp and asking them for a modem with wireless so you'll just have one modem and one router..
