it needs to be good, since high school is when we have freedom of dress and dont need to wear uniforms like before, so everyone will notice what I'm wearing.
im thinking of one of these:

with a orange vinyl mini skirt (no picture, im making it and im not done.
or

with some bell bottoms
or
- a line skirt
and a sweetheart style top
or something else?
any suggestions?

The brown top is really cute. I think you should go with the brown top and orange skirt, it's casual and girly. =]

Call a couple of friends and ask them what they are wearing. Every school is different. If your friends have big sisters at the same school, this is even better because they can clue you in. (-: Just make sure they are NICE big sisters, and not giving you bogus advice to make you look goofy.
The MOST important thing is that you love what you are wearing. If you don't love it, it won't work. If you do love it, everyone else can just put their comments in their backpack and sit on it.
I think it's fun to dress up a little for the first day of school. Be sure and get a pic before you go, because this will look great in your photo album! Years from now, you'll look back at your first day of high school, and feel warm fuzzies.
DO talk to your friends, though -- and not just about clothes. If you haven't talked to them much during the summer, they will have changed, and it may feel a little freaky getting together with them again if you haven't kept in touch.

I don't like the second top. I love the brown babydoll shirt. In my opinion orange and brown don't really go together hon. Soft faded gray jeans, a long baby blue shirt, and some gold bangles, necklaces, earrings and such would look cute.

something attractive, yet in addition clever. i'd placed on an attractive v-neck tee or something alongside those lines with a lace tank below and a few shorts (yet not too short!). in case you would be going trekking or wearing some form of harness, short shorts heavily isn't delicate. Jean shorts or bermudas would be attractive and clever! For shoes, the two a pair of sandals in case you're going swimming or shoes/tennis shoes that are attractive yet do not suggestions getting grimy! don't be wearing your Juicy Couture shoes to summer season camp to get muddy or lost! :) this way you seem such as you recognize what you're doing at camp, and are additionally renowned for the girls and semi-flirty finding for the highschool boys. wish I helped, Lolly

You need to think what you are going to be comfortable in. High school is high judging grounds. So you need to look in the 360 mirror and move around in the clothes reach up high kneel down. Chance are you will be doing these things to get into your locker. Dont dress too sexy or too boring, think 1st impressions hun. hey, i am going into 9th grade too!
i am going to dress more maturely this year, and on the 1st day i will probably wear a hollister tee with some capris/shorts/jeans depending on the weather and sneakers incase i have gym class with my tote bag from hollister. go comfy but look great at the same time!! have fun : P

I like the first shirt. Its very cute. I would pick either the blue color or brown with maybe some cute capris. I'm also going into 9th grade

Just remember that in high school everyone starts to dress more mature. Find something that makes you look more adult and less teenage-ish.
