I'd go to apartments.com or rent.com and look around sugar. It's broken down by state. Also, if yo know the name of the city where you will be living, Google the city's name and the word "newspaper" so you can see the local paper online.O ften times they have a real estate section with rentals there. If you're in the Salt Lake City area, craigslist has pretty good listings, might be worth checking out.

I'd say find a cheap motel for now untill you look & find another place-there's alot of motels up town. (I live in Salt Lake) or maybe you can hook up with someone who will offer you to stay at their place untill you find a place-good luck.-(check out the other answers)
