Morality is a tough thing for those Democrats to understand. Look at William Jefferson trying to say those marked bills in the freezer was not from the bribe. He was still elected. Pelosi was going to appointed him to a powerful position, but had to reconsider because of the flak she was getting.
If you are elected to any governmental job, you should not be engaging in anything unethical and unmoral. That said, most republicans would rather leave office than put it on their resume.

Because Democratic leaders don't seem to believe in moral absolutes. At least morals are not critical to their world view.

the moral mistake was when he went with a prostitute and paid for sex, thereby putting his wife's health at risk.
he resigned when he got caught.

Because Democrats can easily get away with it. Republicans will have their heads on the chopping block for the rest of eternity if they don't vanish forever after making any sort of mistake.

different standards.... to liberals there is no absolute right or wrong only shades of grey....well unless you are a conservative then you are just rotten to the core no matter what you do.
