Very good question!!! People do not understand liberties until they don't have them I suppose. Maybe they lack an imagination of how being watched and listened to continually might just be an intrusion. I tried to explain this to some young students a while ago and since they are still living with their parents who watch and listen all of the time, they haven't experienced the freedom nor have an imagination about the freedoms that would be taken away. I also don't think that many people have been taught to think and reason for themselves and if you say the word argument people cringe and think that arguing is a bad thing to do. Isn't arguing just discussing with reason?

we don't even know who goes to dick cheney's house, let alone what they say.

those with the most to hide are the ones who call others traitor the loudest...

"Got nothing to hide" folks prefer structure and authority for themselves and everyone around them. (Scary, those folks...)
