Actualy my ancestors didn't own slaves, they were white slaves brought to America from England to work off depts owed, for life. But sure I would try to stop a wooping.

that's funny that you said that MY ancestors owned slaves because last time i was in history class, they told that the "colored' ones were the ones who were owned and then on top i am pretty sure that they never owned anyone of our own, and then even if they did, they would not beat on one of their own.
for future advice, when you are trying to ask a question that is directed to people who are not, hmm i guess i will say, african american, don't ask the question at all! it would be less of a haggle! trust me!

I don't know if any ancestors owned slaves, but if they did, I'd probably stop him and start beating him and see how he likes it. Tell him how in the future everyone does for themselves and he shouldn't be so lazy and greedy.

My maternal Great Grandparents came from Germany and my paternal Great Grandparents came from Ireland. Neither were rich enough to own slaves. They lived in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and had to work very hard to make a living and raise their families.
I'm not sure I'd want to go that far back in time. No internet.

my ancestors never owned slaves,and a lot of peoples ancestors never owned slaves,so it would be a waste of time going back.

my ancestors didn't own slaves, but i would go back in time to Africa, just as the first white men were coming. i would explain what there intentions were and organize a big revolt for all who come to steal people.

My ancestors came from Ireland. They were dirt poor and had to work their way up by being housekeepers and street cleaners. There were signs when they got here that siad NO IRISH NEED APPLY. Beleive it or not-the slave population wasnt the only people who were kept down.

Yes. More than likely I was one of the slaves though. Or maybe an indentured servant. I have visions of myself walking around with a water jar on top of my head and wearing a white wrap around skirt and nothing else. I think maybe I was a water bearer for the Pharoh. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

Some of my ancestors were the slaves and some of them were the indentured servants.
