There is a lot of chatter involving Griffey and a trade. I really believe that the decision to go or stay will rest with Griffey. It is possible that Griffey would like to go to a contender with a shot to go to the world series in the next few years so he can experience the playoffs before he retires. However, I think he will stay and finish his career with the Reds.

Obviously you are too young to remember or too stupid to look up the fact that before that, the NL had streaks of 9 & 11 games back to back (losing the one in the middle). NL still has the overall edge. JR should be traded. Give him a shot at the title before he retires.

He wont be traded he is to close to 600 HRs and when he gets real close that will be the only reason people will watch the Reds. They are in dead last and need has much help has they can get to sell tickets. Oh and by the way I am a Reds fan so I speak the truth has sad has it may be.

Points Baby!!

I doubt the Reds will trade him. With him getting closer to six hundred home runs, that will sell some tickets. Besides, they have benn showing some life withe new manager, winning five of six games since making the change. Hopefully this means the Reds won't finish in dead last.

I dont think Junior would want to go to New York. Cincinnati is where he grew up and I think Cinti is where he would like to stay. His contract allows him to deny a trade if not of his liking.
I could see him giving the thumbs up to St. Louis, San Diego, Arizona, Seattle (but how would Ichiro feel about that?), Minnesota, Detroit or White Sox.

I don't think he'll get traded this year, but I do think he'll spend a couple years DHing in the AL at the end of his career, particularly if he's close to a major milestone (700 HR? 2000 RBI?)

San Diego. They've got the best pitching in baseball. They could really use a guy like Griffey to add some pop to their lineup.

I hope the Angels. They need a bat like Jr. to go along with Vlad. Also, they got talent to give like Figgins, or high prospect Brandon Wood.

He might get traded to a playoff contending team, and there are like 18-20 contending teams, so we don't know for sure. My best bet would be either Dodgers or Yankees.
