I have this picture of new york city at night before 9/11. I had it before 9/11. The world trade center stands proud and tall above all the other buildings. next to it is a red, white, and blue ribbon taped there by me. It was my dad's and it was in his room. and whenever i went in there i would look at it (as a young child, like 4 years old) and say that i would go there someday, and go to the very TOP floor. After 9/11 they painted their room so it was taken off the wall. they didn't put it back up, so i asked why. "because it doesn't exist anymore". "so? it's a memorial"
he said i could have it and now i do.
and it sits on the floor leaning against the wall of my room as it fell of the wall last week.
and in the picture the wtc stands proud and tall and always will.
and I will NEVER sell it or give it away.

The necklace given to me by the family of a friend I provided Hospice care for.
I wear it 24/7.
Reminds me of all the love out there in the world.
