Most people don't adhere to a particular political party. Most are more concerned about how good looking the candidate is, how much he spends on haircuts, who he sleeps with and how often.

Too many are much too concerned about what religion the person is, how many times they have been married or divorced, about whether or not their adult children smoke weed.

Many, many people haven't a clue what the Republican or Democratic Parties stand for or what their agenda or platform is.

They listen to the Boobs on talk radio, read only comic books or trash news, don't bother to do any research on the current issues...

They are not interested in what a candidate might do - or not do - once in office.

It is impossible to reasonably hate an opponent if you don't know anything about him/her or them.

As for myself, I am an Independent and have always been. I don't support either platform or toady to any party. I look at each candidate, listen to what they have to say, what they have said and done in the past. I want to know what their platform will be if they win....how will they address the problems facing our country.

I don't give a dam if he/she worships trees, sleeps with everyone in town, pays $1000 for a hair cut. I don't care if his/her children shoot up everyday with the drug du jour.

I don't care if his wife likes him - if his kids like him or anything else concerning his personal life.

I want to know what he is going to do for our country if/when he sits in the Oval Office.

No, because most Democrats are not Marxist/liberals; they've just allowed their party to be hijacked by them. In time, the liberal wing will not be pulling the strings there and the USA can get back to important things like good governance.

No, I believe in this country's two+ party system. Political debate and compromise is important--it should move things forward. Unfortunately, what we have now is frustration and stagnation. Things will change--one way or another.

"A little rebellion now and then is a good thing."--Thomas Jefferson

We should dissolve this current administration, hold special elections, then get on with our lives and government.

"Science is my passion, politics my duty."--Thomas Jefferson

"Let the human mind loose. It must be loosed. It will be loose. Superstition and despotism cannot confine it."--John Adams

I don't like political parties that put party before country. The people are the strength of any country. Without the support of the people, governments cannot succeed in doing their job. ~

Not at all.
I recently started paying more attention to the politician than the party.

For example, I am interested in Fred Thompson, not George Bush. Barbara Boxer, not Hillary Clinton.

No. That would be hypocritical since my party and my opposite political party both tend to hold radical neanderthals that nearly drive me to the brink of insanity.

I don't hate the other party, but I do hate it when they try to tell me that I am wrong in what I believe.

the explanation why is via the fact people desire to be stunning, whether the different person isn't incorrect. To be stunning although the different should be incorrect, for this reason while arguing politically in the event that they r in one occasion they are going to hate the different because of the fact they have diverse perspectives.

No, just their Socialist Policies. My family heritage is Polish-Jewish. Socialism is a brand of Communism, I don't like Socialism, Democrats are more and more pushing the Socialist doctrine my family escaped.
