I have a game used bat with no team name but the player name of John Edwards. From the looks of the bat this must be from within the last five years. Ever hear of a minor or major league player with this name?
Thanks-

The bat, though, is a newer model and is no more than 5 years old.

I only found two within the last five years:

- John Edwards was a pitcher for the Tri-City Dust Devils (Rockies farm club) in 2003.
- Jonathan Edwards is a current outfielder in the Cardinals organization. His first year in pro ball was '06 with Johnson City of the Appalachian League, and he's with them again this year.

Johnny Edwards was a back-up catcher who played for three or four MLB teams in the late 1960's and early 1970's. He was actually a back-up catcher on the Cardinals when Tim McCarver was there in the early 1970's. He was not much of a player and the bat might carry a value of $25 to $50.

Johnny Edwards was a catcher in the sixties. He started for the Reds and Astros and backed up McCarver for the Cardinals. He had a decent bat for a catcher of that era and called a good game, but he was not a big name.
