And release them back to their natural habitat (if they could survive of course)sometimes I fantazise about stuff like that,if I were going to go down I would like it to be for a selfless deed.
I am aware of the fact that most of these animals in captivity, zoos amusment parks etc,,,,,would be at great risk for living their life the way their supposed to,because WE have ruined it for them.
Do you think that is a shame? I do.

Me? I have a shirt that says..." If I ran the zoo I'd let all the animals go"

It is a shame.... but most good zoo's have animals that have been injured and can not survive out in the wild or animals that had no where else to go (habitats cut down, deforestation)

I went to sea world and to underwater world and whenever I see the seals performing I get teary and cry. Partly because they are sooo soo smart and soo soo cute but also because I feel sorry that they are performing when they could be in the wild. But they might have reasons they are in there - they weren't well enough to be out on their own, but it still makes me cry heh.

My local zoo only houses animals that were injured in the wild, rescued and rehabilitated. If they can be sent back to the wild, they are released. If their injuries are permanent and they would not survive in the wild, the zoo looks after them. It's not the biggest zoo in the country, but it has its heart in the right place.

Boy somebody missed the point. What makes you think God made us ignorant other than the bad decision Eve made taking what God advised her not to. The whole point of is being created was to have a relationship with like Adam and Eve had prior to the fall. He (God) literally walked and talked with them because they had no sin. They were to live forever in a perfect environment, thus no need for clothes but when they sinned, it severed that relationship and they were cast from Eden forever and the whole earth changed from that moment on. The serpent was made to crawl on it's belly from that moment on and eat the dust of men forever. The constant toil to survive isn't what makes us human but the desire to have a relationship with God is.

I do wish they could be set free. Poor animals, they have to be trap forever in the cage. Well, think about it in another way, they're human cared and fed for such a long time, that probably when you release them back to the wild, they would be all confuse "So, where do i get my food?"

It is sad.... but even worse, that a lot of them wouldn't survive in the wild anymore because their habitats have been so depleted....

I fantasize about releasing all of the ones from the shelter....

Nah. Some of those animals have it made there. I would free whales and large aquatic mammals from Sea World and the like though.

I sure do wish they could all live like nature intended! I mean, how would WE feel, if the animals rounded us all up in cages, and stared at us? I boycotted zoos a long time ago! Thanks! Nice, thoughtful question!

I think it is good to spread awareness of the endangered but keeping them in Zoo's isn't really helping..
