Tell her it will be a big deal when she is confronted with all the adult issues that come with a relationship given to someone who is not ready.
Studies show young girls desperate for a relationship to happen usually never developed a proper relationship with their father, and need to fill that void with a male-figure.
There is a time and place for EVERYTHING...you don't give a steak to a 1-year old, a calculus book to a 5-year old, or the shattering reality of heartache/heartbreak to a half-child/half woman.
Tell her, she should never be in a hurry, or throw herself at someone...that's the road to disaster, especially in our society when virtually 90% of males have no real value for a woman beyond sexual release.

Well, I have to say I agree with you. It really isn't a big deal. And, even if her parents did let her date, it's not like it's a race. I mean, everyone develops at different ages and really she shouldn't be stressing over it. There will always be guys and always be dating. Right now is the best time to be just hanging out with friends and enjoy being single. Because really, I am 18 and guys don't change too much. So in a couple more years if she's ready and if her parents will let her date, then it would be a better time.

I agree that it isn't a big deal. I know 23-25 year olds that never had a boyfriend. I had my first kiss at 18. There is nothing wrong with that.

I think its no big deal. If you hold out till your 16 you get a chance to emotionally mature and gain a bit of an inside to how relationships work and how they dont. While there is no solid age where you can start (you know assuming you at least over 12), if you emotionally mature then you should be able to make your own decicions.

It's not a big deal at all. Lots of people wait longer than that, so really, she doesn't need to worry about it. It'll happen when it happens an dfreaking out about it won't help anything!

well, you gotta understand her side of it. Maybe she feels uncomfortable with herself and like no boy likes her. She may think something is wrong with her, or like she's ugly, or she sees that other girls already had their first kiss and wants to fit in with them. But, i mean, i do agree with you because it isnt a big deal. But, to her, it is.

If it's a big deal to her, then I guess it's a big deal. Personally I don't get it, but apparently it's important to her.
