I bought a couple of rolls of Magic Cover paper. While applying it to my dresser drawers, I noticed a bit of blue on my fingertips. I thought the whole point of contact paper was to protect the contents of the drawer, not stain them, so I'm hoping the blue is from something else. Has anyone else had experience with this?

It does tend to wear off and look shabby in the worn areas. I had used some and replaced it when it looked bad. However I never saw its colors come off and stain anything.

Contact paper is meant to be used on shelves for the pantry, or in the cabinets for dishes. This being the case they use cheap ink that isn't set. It will rub off on fabric. If it is on clothing or fabric it should wash off in the laundry, it is a water soluable ink. If it dosen't' come off when you wash it do not put it in the drier, wash it again with a spot cleaner. If you dry it it will set the ink into a permanent stain.

In the future I would use a wall paper or shelf paper specializing for drawers for clothing. Hard way to learn but try using white or pastel color for the paper.

Depends on the ink. Cheap wallpaper has done the same with me. Look up product service or see the folks about the problem where you bought it.
For those who wonder about water messing up your computer print outs, try hair spray. Works great.

Hi, it will come off if in contact with something like a solvent. You might have had something oily on your fingers, or skin lotion perhaps. Sometimes Skin lotion has stuff in it that will take paint, or ink off. I bet that's what it was.Maybe it contains some kind of alcohol,I'm not sure. I am sure that something inside will remove the ink off of things. Bye
