er.... I bet it's only been conservatives who have been buying hybrids at a record pace...right? do you have a prius in your driveway?
but by your "theory" we should make selling drugs legal... since it's not the seller's fault... right?

Because bush is an oil man, Cheney is an oil man and most people they talk with are oil men. They come from oil. Interestingly enough, Bush once owned an oil drilling company that COULDN'T FIND OIL IN TEXAS.
I walk places that aren't far. I don't drive my car when it's not necessary. My local grocery store offers discounts on gas with their card. The local school doesn't offer bus service if you live less than a mile away so we walk to school.
Big Oil gouges the prices left and right. Supply and demand doesn't concern them. They just raise the prices. Democrats have been talking about alternative energies for decades now and the American people are finally wising up. Nuclear is one method but there's so many different types of energy that nuclear energy should just be one of the many.
Get the bug out of your butt, open your eyes and read something. It might just make you happier.

there is plenty incorrect with what you have mentioned. a million) ANWR, not ANWAR, is basically a splash land with below 6 months well worth of oil in it, assuming that they might extract a hundred% which they might't. to not point out that's going to be a minimum of a dozen years formerly any of this oil faraway from the floor if permission became into given at present. So it is not well worth it. you will possibly be able to desire to understand that there is not plenty drillable oil left in the U. S. and Texas on no account had that plenty oil in the 1st place. a great form of the oil aspects in the U. S. are oil shales that are greater high priced than the worst fears approximately ethanol production. 2) industry instability: Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, and a few different oil manufacturers are risky inflicting oil fees to circulate up. If Bush won't have entered Iraq then oil fees could be greater perfect at present. If Bush might backpedal on Iran oil fees could be greater perfect. If Nigeria stabilizes oil fees will go down a splash. Bush has not something to do with Nigeria. 3) Gulf Coast issues. Many refineries in US and Mexico are not working to ability because of the present hurricanes.

One argument that I hear on a regular basis that government won't put more stringent regulations on 'big oil' because of the money that they send to Washington. I would agree that a lot of politicians have big oil in their pockets. My question to those people that want to complain about high gas prices is this: Where does big oil get that money that they send to Washington? Personally, I don't complain about gas prices because at least once per week I am at my favorite gas station filling up my truck. I have to drive to do my job, and public transportation is not an option because I carry a lot of materials that fill the back of my Durango for my presentations. Basically, I say that if you don't want big oil to send money to Washington, don't buy their products. Of course that means anything plastic is off limits as well!

Since when did high gas prices only affect liberals? Don't any of you Republicans drive? Or do you roll around in so much money, you don't care about high gas prices?
Do I blame Bush, and his cronies from the oil companies? You bet I do! DUH! Didn't anyone notice that before and leading up to the last national election, that gas prices dropped down to $2.19 per gal, and then after the election went right back up to almost $3.00 per gal! I did, and I don;t drive!
Wake up people, and pay attention to what is going on! They have us at each other's throat to divert what they are doing!
But the drug analolgy is right! As long as people drive, they will pay the high price that oil companies charge!

Many liberals are on the green bandwagon and do get that nice sense of 'sticking it to the man' when they plunk down an extra 10k to get a Prius instead of a Hyundai.
But, yeah, there's plenty of them still driving SUVs and 'mini'vans, too. Part of the liberal mindset is that problems can only be solved by groups of people: you get a lot of people together to protest, so the government will pass laws to force /everyone/ to do what it takes to solve the problem, rather than just voluntarily doing the same thing, yourself. Again, that's not all of 'em: plenty lead by example, too. They look a little goofy, sometimes, living in geodesic domes and driving cars that smell of frenchfries, but at least they're trying.

But I DID do something about it myself...
Bought myself a BICYCLE and I bike or
walk to work...I only drive my AMERICAN MADE
car about 1-2 times per month just to get food supplies.
My gas bill for the year is laughable...(Under $100)
I think gas prices are way too low....they should
be twice a much as they are now...after all ....
we are at war and other countries are paying
well over $5 a gallon....and yet Americans cry about
paying $3. a gallon...pathetic!!!
How about YOU?
What are YOU doing???

First off, adjusted in real dollars, and compared to what Europeans are paying, gas prices are not that high; simply higher than they used to be, and higher than we prefer them to to be. Now, to the real issue at hand. Liberals are Socialists, Communists if you will-they believe that everything you have own are and do should in some manner be under State control. They HATE capitalism, which creates free-thinking independent productive individuals which don't need cradle-to-grave overseeing of their lives. Liberals are natural-born Whiners and Complainers. According to their warped reasoning, life is unfair because some have more than others. The fact that individuals work hard and achieve is irrelevant to them. No one should be ALLOWED to have more than another in their minds, and so they utilize GOVERNMENT to redistribute (STEAL) the fruits of others labor, and call it taxes, subsidies, and many other names.
They hate profit for the same reason. Profit is wealth, and wealth is a symbol of power and achievement separate from the State, which is in a Libs mind unacceptable. Basically it comes down to this: Conservatives are societys producers, and Socialists (Liberals) are the sycophants, the takers, the ones who, as my grandfather used to say, have "a handful of "GIMME and a mouthful of "MUCH OBLIGED"! The definitive work and pretty much the final say on this subject is Ayn Rands "Atlas Shrugged". If you only read one book in your life about political philosophy, make sure it's this one. One final point about this government we live under, and that is this: ALL GOVERNMENT RULES AT THE POINT OF A GUN. If I pay for my home cash, I still do not own it with the right to freely keep and secure it. I must pay taxes. If I refuse to pay my taxes, armed agents of the GOVERNMENT will come to my home. If I attempt to defend MY PROPERTY, they will KILL ME, CONFISCATE MY PROPERTY, AND SELL IT. ALL GOVERNTMENT RULES WITH THE IMPLIED, AND IN MANY CASES IMPLEMENTED USE OF FORCE. This brings me to my final statement: I love my country, but I fear my GOVERNMENT!

where is the evidence that liberals are not doing anything themselves to bring down gas prices. I know that a lot of environmentalists have cut down on energy use, and most of us our liberals. I am a moderate independent, and I am not a fan of liberals, but I don't like it when someone makes statements disguised as a question that are not supported by the facts as you have done.

theheavymetalrick I agree with you 100% because I too love my country but I fear my government. I knew a man who was one of the first Americans to enter the death camps at the end of WW2 he came home and became a teacher . He always told his students to(Always question your government) I think that is good advice but lately I don't like the answers.
