I heard that if you feed animals live meal worms that some can eat the stomach lining and cause bad problems, and they freak me out

Repashy Superfood's Crested Gecko Diet
There are also several flavors of fruit supplements that can be added to the base diet such as apricot, peach, banana, strawberry, kiwi, live prey such as crickets, mealworms, cockroaches, and flies.
A good feeding regimen is to give them crickets twice a week and babyfood mixed with Crested Gecko Diet twice a week.

Fruit flavored baby foods are good (get stage one baby foods, they are all mush and have no chuncks), like banana, apple, pear...ect.
With the crickets, they should only get crickets that are 1/3 the size of their heads, this way they have no trouble eating them, and small meal worms are almost always small enough for baby cresteds...and no they cannot eat through your reptiles stomach, they die when the geckos, bite them...as for being grossed out but them, once you handle them enough you will get over it...you can also use tongs to handle them.
These foods are the most common and usually your best bet...
As for other options...you can get a comercail diet for them, but a lot of reptiles will not eat the comercial diets, so all you can do is try, but it is healthy for them...
You can also get flightless fruit flys...but thats about it...
I hope this helps..GOOD LUCK!!!!

No worms or any living thing usually used as feeders can possibley EAT the stomach of an animal. This isn't true, you've heard wrong.
As for your cresties, you can purchase a retail crested gecko food. It is very nutritious, and you won't even need insects. Mealworms are sometimes thought to cause impaction, and I personally no nothing about this, so either do more research or just stay away from them. Wax worms are also liked, but are too fatty as a staple diet. They're good for occasional treats though.

I feed mine baby food fruits and small crickets (properly gutloaded and dusted of course!). I also have a powdered gecko diet by Repashy that you mix with water and is a balanced diet. I don't think he likes it much, but I give him a little a few times a week anyway.
