Birth Control = Less kids = more sex.
No Birth Control = More kids = less, yet more exhaustive sex.
Have your tubes tied if you're worried that much.
Or get married, and consider each kiddo you have as a blessing and don't fuss when the time for sex is less, energy for it less, but quality does pick up.

Any medication effects people differently. And there are always side effects. Most people don't experience side effects. The main hormones in BC are estrogen and progesterone (i totally spelled that wrong) Anway, it "tricks" your body into thinking it's ovulating but you don't release any eggs. It's still healthy to have your period because that is your body shedding the lining of your uterus. Don't let any of these people on here scare you away from using it. You're much better off on the pill to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. It can take a little while for your body to get used to not being on it again so if you are ever planning a pregnancy, stop taking it beforehand. I mean, don't wait until you want to start trying. Gaining weight is a myth. So is hair growth. It's more of hormones produced naturally in your body. You also shouldn't let your fear of screwing up your sex drive make this choice for you. Talk to your OBGYN or go to a free clinic like planned parenthood.

If you're not on the right birth control, then, yes birth control could affect your sex life negatively. Some women report decrease in sexual desire as a side effect of some birth controls, but which one will do that to you just depends on your natural hormone level. If this happens to you, you just need to see your doctor and switch birth control.
Other than that, women who use a hormonal birth control report happier sex lives because they feel safer not having to worry about pregnancy during the act.

I seen a show about this once on Discovery Health, some women lose thier sex drive on birth control, not all but yes some-as for other things-it can be unhealthy, I persoanlly and you can just check into it, think that the IUD is the best so far, no pills and a very low dose of whatevers in it :0) both of my sisters have it and are very happy with it.

Some people get reduced sex drive, but for others it can increase as you can have sex as often as you like without having to worry about getting pregnant.

It will make you feel better to know that you won't get pregnant so you can relax more. Other than that it shouldn't affect you.

It doesn't ruin anybody but it does bring down your libido. It's due to the fact you are not ovulating anymore....ovulation enhance sex desire.
