My father happens to have started his own business by developing his own software (and subsequent hardware in his case) into a useful way for other companies. He is the kind of person who will research all of the options for the best value, and the best value by far is to, unfortunately, outsource programming skills to an Eastern country. Don't worry, it's not as bad as it sounds, there are actually highly educated people in other countries who have been raised in the computer age willing to program for you and your business. Call it stereotypical, but he hired a programmer from India to create his program by putting an ad on Monster.com, and in the end they turned out to be very helpful and understanding people. If you're not into the whole outsource thing, you could try to take up programming yourself. Many basic programs are started out in Visual Basic, or VB, and Microsoft sells a utility that allows you to create programs using it, which I believe allows you to work using either a user interface or a code-based entry. Hope your software is a big success in the future!

Without the specs of your program, I can't give you any idea of price: software development range from $200 to ... millions! (think of developing a one-page code in VB6 to add a series of numbers, one hour job, or window XP: 4-5 years, full time, 100+ programmers at $20,000+...).
I develop all kinds of programs, in all kinds of languages.
Why don't you put your specs to rent-a-coder. I work with them too. Pretty good and realistic prices...

If you want to share idea with someone, you can just try find a partner(programmer).
I don't know such software which can put your idea in script without human invasion.LOL
If you don't want to share, afraid that someone who knows coding and thinks that you got good point, in that case I sugest you patent your idea first.
After you have your idea patented, you can look around for someone who wants to participate in your project.

By the way in which programing language you see that idea of yours?
PHP? if yes maby I be interested to hear what you think.
