Sadly, loyalty in friendship has declined . It is the essential ingredient of friendship. Loyalty breeds trust. Loyalty and trust are two very important elements of egalitarian love (non-sexual).This is not subject to gender. Show me a person who has loyal friends and I will bet that he/she is very successful.Maybe not popular but certainly happy.
