True Strength Lies in Necessity. We are only as strong as we have to be. It's all relative too and based on individual perception and circumstances. Strength depends on who's looking. Some people find all aspects of life entail one to be strong, but what one endures and whether this takes strength will differ by perception and relative circumstances.
When someone is experiencing something in life that others deem difficult, that person is typically told: "you must be so strong". After the "event" is over, which will inevitably happen if that person doesn't die of their "difficult" circumstances, that person is told: "you must be so strong to have come out of that". But, really, the reality is, we ARE only as strong as we have to be to continue living. Is there really an option to be weak when life throws us a curve ball? Are we going to pack it in and slit our wrists? Most of us don't. We find a solution and continue breathing in and out and life goes on either way....just sometimes in a different direction than we wanted, had planned, or anticipated.
