When my Mum was dying of cancer I took her to chitchinitza in Mexico as she had always wanted to climb it. After a long time we got to the top and sat and talked for a long time. She told me all about her life, her hopes and dreams and her fears. All the things that we had never really spoken about. It was the best moment of my life because after she died I felt that I really really knew her and there was nothing left unsaid between us.

The best experience of my life was when I was a guest at the Naval Ball at the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth. Something I'll never forget. At that time my mum was a cleaner in the local secondary school and my dad was a steel-worker. And there was me, mixing it with lords, ladies, dukes and duchesses. And the lovely thing was they spoke to me as if they were actually interested!! Of course there was the "fur coat and no knickers" brigade - but they couldn't spoil that night for me. The best moment in my life was my wedding day.

I think I have to say, when my Dad got the all clear from cancer after having his kidney taken out. Also at the same time realising I was happy in my jobs and life, actually, is ok.

The day my ex-partner said he was going to move in with me and the day that he did.
The worst day was when he left, without saying a word.
