He let a routine bouncer get past him, he didnt just walk into a tag at the plate he slothed, he almost asked politely to be tagged (a little hustle, even a slide would have scored him) and rather than risk an ASG error he just watches a line drive go right past him.
He was no Ichiro.

He made one great defensive play going to his left, he should have had two hits but one was robbed, and he stole a base. That sounds like an all-star. Saying he was no Ichiro because of his lack of hustle doesnt make any sense because Ichiro didn't hustle out of the box on his HR. And the Reyes double was anything but a routine bouncer.

Being a Red Sox fan I hate A-Rod. But now that he's having one of his best years so far, he thinks he can do whatever he wants. Too bad he wasn't sucking as bad as he did last year. A-Rod has never looked like an All-Star until this year... But he should still try, it would make people ACTUALLY like him. Too bad people don't try as hard as Torii Hunter and rob home runs like he did to Bonds the other year, in the All-Star game. Ichiro is also one of a kind. No one beats out as many infield hits as he does... Yea he's one of the fastest in the majors, but he hustles. And no he didn't get out of the box very fast, but yes, it is still an All-Star game, and yes, he still did get the inside the parker. A-Rod has always been like that, I never see him dirty. And in my opinion, A-Rod is a dooooooooooosh bag.

The ball had a lot of spin on it , and was a tougher play then what it looked like, and the ball was hit to hard for him to score even if he did slide, the 3rd base coach made a mistake by sendig him.

oh okay well they won the game and well the bouncer past him well that's his fault but to slide in and maybe pull something no way no chance its only an all star game calm down if he did that in a regular season game that would be a different thing

That was far from a routine bouncer- that ball had a weird spin on it and took a bad hop; I'm not sure Brooks Robinson would have caught that ball.

Well if you watched, none of the players slid to try to prevent a double play because its just an exebition game and to get injured or injure someone else in that game would just be stupid.

I hope Gay-Rod wears those pretty white shoes when he comes to Boston in August. Now Varitek has something to spit on.
