Well, I'm one of those people who "falls in love" with all sorts of new techno-gadgets, but I wait until the costs go down. Right now I swear I will not buy an iPhone, but a few years down the road, maybe.
The personal computer is technology I embraced with glee and bought my first "blazingly fast" XT running at 10 megahertz with a 20 meg harddrive" in late 1988 and have had a computer on my desk at home ever since.
Some people are either luddites at heart or just plain envious of those who can afford the newest gadgets.
I think people who "swear" they will never buy something are just envious of the "early adopters" who can afford bleeding edge technology and new gadgets as they are introduced.
Never say never.

I would have said a Japanese samurai sword, but I think I'll stick with a newly acquired taste for frog's legs.

to be honest a computer...i had no desire to have one,.. now i don't know what to with out it...i do everthing (almost) on here...it's made soooo many things easier
