What can I do with 50 yards of yarn?

I got this awesome novelty yarn...but only 50 yards of (1 ball)..any knitting ideas?

You can knit 2- 5x5(or so) squares and then sew them together and you have a little purse(satchel), then make a handle by braiding three pieces of the yarn together.
Or you can make a cover for your Ipod. then sinch it closed with the same yarn.
You have enough for a scarf too.
Or you can just braid it and make friendship or ankle bracelets. Have fun!

One ball of 50 yards will make a very cute skinny/long scarf. The wider it is the shorter it will be though. Of course if you actually have to ask this question then I would assume that you don't know how to knit (very easy to learn).

You should use scraps for making cards and scrap booking. Or string it on two suction cups and use the mini clothes pins to hang notes and pictures on.
Make a fringe key chain.

Why not knit a square and connect with moore squares that might work you can get more squares if you buy more yarn.

Crochet a potholder is about it. That's hardly enough to warrant getting out your knitting needles.

The kind of yarn that is thinner than worsted weight is sport weight.

Just make a baby blanket or a couch throw, or a small blanket for your legs.
