Funny how every SK hater says they have no talent, when all the members play their own instruments. No offense to the ones who do say it, but SK is actually not nu-metal, never have I seen them classified as that. I love them, but looking at it from someone elses point of view (cause I didn't love them either when I first heard them) I can understand at least partially why you may not like it. Once I actually listened to them though (thnx to my hubby for that lol) I was the one waiting in line for Iowa when it came out. As for Mushroomhead, I cannot stand them, Slipknot did not "copy" them, seeing as thats what almost all Mushroomhead fans seem to think(SK was out first) and if I have to see that damn track list one more time I'm gonna scream.
Rock on SK lovers, they have the right to be the pride and joy of Des Moines, they've earned it!!

I second Mushroomheads answer; Slipknot is just screaming and bashing with no taste, is overrated and loved by Hot Topic, poseur goths and nu-metal metalheads. They have had songs on the top of the rock charts...real metalheads refuse to go mainstream and sellout. Seriosly, in the metal underground they skin Slipknot 'maggots'.

for the 9 members they have, there is no talent, nor originality. ive heard every slipknot song about, not really impressed. its very boring and like everything else out there and alomst every song sounds the same.
they suck! Mushroomhead is way better and has a much better variety. rock/metal/death metal/techno/rap. mushroomhead and Slipknot were cool with eachother until clown ran his mouth and talked crap. mushroomhead is way better live to. the pits are so crazy, Mushroomhead has to calm them down at times cuz they get so outa hand and people are getting hurt. i know, ive been in it!
additional details- Ice Princess, get your facts straight, Mushroomhead formed in 1993, slipknot formed in 1995, whos first? thats right, MUSHROOMHEAD! you see, i respect maggots, but only the ones who are cool and know thier facts and dont go around and tell people that stupid misconseption that slipknot was first, cuz they werent. i have alot of maggot freinds that admit that they know Mushroomhead was first and they respect me for being a Mushroomhead fan, but when maggots go around sayin stupid crap like you said, my respect level goes down for maggots. and it shouldnt matter if they copied eachother, what matters is the music, and i think Mushroomhead puts out great music, just as you think slipknot does. thats our opinion. i dont hate slipknot because of the Mushroomhead feud, i dont like them because their music sounds like crap. i bet most maggots would like mushroomhead if they actually listened to them.

LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!! My favorite song is Vermilion. I also like Linkin Park, Escape the Fate, Sick Puppies, Hawthorne Heights, Flyleaf, and a lot more.

They're not my favorite band, but I love a lot of their music. I think their drums are awesome, and I think a lot of their songs have cool lyrics.

slipknot pretty much sucks i mean they have a couple good songs but nothing that impresses me.....
you should listen to alice in chains, man they are kick asss i love them....and they have such orginality.....
