How do you think they learned the incantations to activate the Marauders map?

According to Rowling, it probably took them a little bit and some hints from the map.
"MA: How did they figure out how to work the map?
JKR: Don't you — well. This is how I explained it to myself at the time, and this does sound glib. Don't you think it would be quite a Fred and Georgeish thing to say in jest, and then see this thing transform?
MA: Yeah.
JKR: Can't you just see them?
ES: But the exact word combination? Is that just a lot of luck, or Felix Felicis —
JKR: Or, the map helped.
MA: Yep, yeah. You can see them sort of answering and joking with each other —
JKR: And the map flickering into life here and there when they got closer and closer, and finally they hit upon the exact right word combination and it just erupts."

When Harry stood at the Hogsmeade passageway for the first time, a little icon popped up with the word "Dissendium" written on it.
I'm gonna bet that the same thing happened to Fred and George.

Trial and Error... the two of them aren't known to just give things up easy lol. They will try and try and try some more. Besides they are brilliant how could they not figure it out after a while right?

Perhaps the Marauders talked to them, like they did to Snape, and decided they were worthy and gave them the passwords.

they probably saw filch do it ( how else would they know it is a map)?
