Bare knuckles is a boxing term. It refers to fighting without the use of gloves. Technically, there are rules, though. (No hitting a downed opponent.) The practice has been outlawed in most countries.

A bare knuckles approach to an issue means what imagery bare knuckles fighting evinces -- bloodied hands and faces, in a figurative sense. BBW shares were sold without consequence to how much anyone got hurt. That's bare knuckles.

"Bare knuckles" usually refers to something without subtlety. A non subtle way to express your disapproval of management is to dump the stock. You need to provide more context here if you want a more specific answer.

This is an old boxing term. If refers to the days when there not a lot of rules and wins were all by knockouts.
