I guess I should have mentioned that I am a huge Pink Floyd fan and have been since I was child. My dad had a reel to reel and he used to listen to Bob Segar and Pink Floyd (they were on the same reel) and I just loved the Pink Floyd. It has nothing to do with drugs, just a simple love of awesome music.

Their music was magical, epic, psychedelic with awesome musicianship and bizarre imagery in the lyrics. Nothing to do with reality - escapist music to get stoned to. And technically brilliant - really 3D sounds when played on a good system, you can feel the music moving around and through you. Listen to "Great Gig in the Sky" from "Dark Side of the Moon"

Pink Floyd is awesome because their music is so relaxing, but the more u listen 2 it, the better it gets. U start to pick up things u missed last time, and the songs just seem more musical and better.

I love Pink Floyd, going to see Roger Waters this saturday! Anyway, the reason I like them is I love the whole idea of concept albums. The Wall for example, one of their more popular albums, is such a great story, so many metaphors to follow and for me, I can just totally lose myself within the music. Without drugs even!

I like Pink Floyd because I've heard it since I was a kid. I think most of it is calm and relaxing. The song lyrics are awesome too.

To any too youthful the album "The Wall" became right into a sturdy place to initiate in case you have on no account listened to crimson Floyd.. hear to the words of "yet another Brick in the Wall" the angst of dropping his father who became into in the defense force is his discomfort for all to take heed to.

I like Floyd because I've always liked it. It's familiar.
It's also the Official Band of the unofficial employee's union I used to belong to, so there's that.
